Guru Purnima at Kalpavruksha Bala Vidya Bhavan was a heartfelt celebration of love, respect, and thankfulness for our teachers, who nurture young minds every single day. The school wore a festive yet serene look, with flowers, rangoli, and simple decorations symbolizing purity and devotion.
The day began with the children, dressed in neat traditional attire, entering the classrooms with folded hands and bright smiles. Teachers were greeted with “Happy Guru Purnima” and warm wishes that instantly lit up the morning.
To help our preschoolers understand the meaning of Guru Purnima, teachers shared simple stories about gurus the ones who guide us, protect us, and teach us valuable lessons in life. The children listened quietly, their little faces showing curiosity and admiration.
One of the most touching moments was when the children offered flowers to their teachers as a symbol of respect. Some had even made small handmade cards with their parents’ help, filled with colorful drawings and simple words like “Thank you” and “I love you Teacher.” The happiness on both sides was priceless.
A short cultural program followed, where children recited rhymes, sang songs, and performed tiny skits dedicated to the theme of respect and learning. Their innocence and effort made every performance heartwarming.
In the craft activity, children made “Thank You Teacher” badges and bookmarks. Little hands worked carefully with paper, colors, and stickers, eager to create something special for the ones who guide them every day.
The celebration also included a small prayer session, where everyone sat together to express gratitude for the guidance and wisdom they receive. The atmosphere was calm, yet full of warmth and positivity.
To end the day, the teachers shared sweets with the children, and group photos were taken to capture the smiles and the spirit of the occasion.
Guru Purnima at Kalpavruksha Bala Vidya Bhavan was more than an event it was a gentle reminder of the beautiful bond between a teacher and a student, and the values of respect, gratitude, and love that we wish to nurture in every child.
