Kalpavruksha Bala Vidya Bhavan Preschool celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, introducing our little learners to the beauty of yoga and healthy living. The celebration was aimed at helping children understand the importance of keeping their mind and body balanced through simple and fun yoga practices.
The morning began with children gathering in the school hall, dressed in comfortable attire, ready to explore the world of yoga. The atmosphere was calm and refreshing as soothing music played in the background, creating a perfect setting for the day.
Trained teachers guided the tiny tots through a series of simple yoga postures like Tadasana (mountain pose), Vrikshasana (tree pose), and Sukhasana (easy sitting pose). The children followed along with excitement, trying their best to balance and stretch. Their innocent efforts and cheerful smiles filled the session with joy.
To make yoga fun and engaging, the teachers blended stories and animal poses children became “trees swaying in the wind,” “cats stretching,” and “butterflies fluttering their wings.” These playful movements not only encouraged flexibility but also made yoga enjoyable and memorable.
The importance of yoga for good health, concentration, and inner peace was explained in simple words so that children could understand and connect with the practice. Breathing exercises and short meditation helped them feel relaxed and refreshed.
The session ended with children chanting “Om” together, spreading positive energy and harmony all around. The little ones carried home not just memories of a joyful celebration but also the beginning of a healthy habit for life.
International Yoga Day at Kalpavruksha Bala Vidya Bhavan was indeed a celebration of health, happiness, and togetherness.
